I saw the same thing Thursday night when I went to 40, and 44. A while later they were back to normal. I was curious about what was happening.

These are my two most watched channels (44.1 and 44.5) hopefully they can get their power issues resolved soon. I remember before the transition to 25 we had guide information as on each channel, haven't seen it since the changeover.

Doesn't appear to be the transmitter down on (44), they continue to broadcast 44.6 & 44.7. It must have something to do with the feeds from the recently added digital networks. They have disappeared again this morning, with NO SIGNAL.

Thanks Nashdigie for the site and info. Is anyone having poorer reception in general terms? I've been having reception issues particularly with WJFB ever since at or about Thursday that's continually been worsening each evening on one tv. It is WJFB that I've been observing a gradual degradation, because that's the programs I've attempted to watch at prime time on my new tv, but I can't know if it's my new set up or something about the signal(s) that's changed. This afternoon I'm noticing several stations pixelating and dropping on my tv tuner (WJFB, WUXB, and WKRN). WJFB is the weakest. The HDHomerun is also not loading these same signals (keeps going back to the channel list and not locking in at this particular time), but I think it's doing slightly better. To complicate further my LG's WebOs system recognizes my HDHomerun and had previously worked on the tv but without a guide, but now it still lists the channels but sends a message that the device is not connected when I try to tune to a channel. As of Saturday afternoon, my tuners recognize only 44.6 & 44.7 on WJFB but my bigger problem is figuring out why I've shortened my cable runs, lowered my number of coax connections and yet have worse reception. I've not moved the antenna; I haven't changed the cable that goes from the antenna except that I removed two couplers in the run but I did add a splitter. I'm using the preamp in the same way only closer to the antenna. I know I'm not overloading on the Cookeville channel, because my new LG has a useful signal meter. My strongest is 71% and anything under around 32% won't stay locked in. I looked on the HDHomerun FAQ and it recommends a splitter rated no more than 1000 mhz; mine is rated from 5 to 2400. I went to Walmart and their splitters are high rated like the one I've got. If not the splitter, then I don't know what.

I live in southern monroe county Kentucky, just 1/2 mile from tennessee line. I get WJFB till a few days ago from 44.1 to 44.7 in my living room. My bedroom tv still gets them all but my living room lost everyone but 44.6 and 7. Also WNAB 58 is no longer being seen here, I get a no signal when I try it.

I'm wondering if 40.1-40.5 was taken down to work on WCTZ (channel 35), although why that would affect 44.1-44.5 I don't know unless it is connected with their satellite receiver. Channel 35 (WCTZ) is now the strongest signal of any low powered station here in Gallatin (a 92 signal strength out of 100) when I could not get it at all before. All other stations are coming in at normal levels.

January 28,2020. 10:00pm The night almost over! Still not picking up channels 44.1-44.5. Just wondering why 44.6 and 44.7 still come on. This is the second week missing my fave shows! Then evenings came back on. Tonight not happening!

I am puzzled by this too. Those stations are definitely my favorite channels.

Since I'm having reception problems right now related to either a sudden degradation of my preamp post moving it from one location to another, or the specific splitter that I'm using or the fact that I've currently using a short piece of RG-59 cable, or a combination of each; I can provide some insight for some. The issues with 44.1-44.5 sometimes there and sometimes not seems to be unrelated to signal reception, however, it can play tricks on some tuners that may require constant rescans or other tricks to get them back in one's channel list. My LG tv eliminated 44.1-44.5 once they became unavailable, while the HDHomerun Connect Duo kept them in my available list even though I couldn't get anything but a black screen. What I just learned though with respect to the tv is that, if I go in to settings and then in to "manual channel add/delete mode", I can't add the channel using the "add" option, however, it will automatically tune to the 1st available subchannel in numerical order even if it's not on my current list. So rather than rescanning, I can simply exit that mode while "Dragnet" is showing, and then it tunes to the program I was on in the last menu, and that brings them all back.

Is there any new info on channel 40? Metv is my favorite station and I hope we haven't lost it.

No, I haven't found out anything new. If you can receive WJFB 44, they still show MeTV on 44.1, but as for WKUW 40, I am awaiting an e-mail from them. Once I receive a response, I will post it.

It looks to me like WCTZ (35) is broadcasting from WKUW's old antenna and WKUW (40) is broadcasting from WCTZ's old antenna. This may not be true but the signal strength of WCTZ has dropped here to what WKUW used to be and WKUW signal strength has dropped to what WCTZ used to be (I can tell it's there but I can't usually decode it {occasionally I can}). There may have had problems with their new antenna.

I can't find their e-mail address. If you could give it to me, I would like to write them too.

I noticed last and this morning that 44.1 MeTV, Decades, etc, were on, with a great signal(5 bars) but mid morning they were gone. Promising!!!

I haven’t seen a legal ID on WJFB 44.1 in many weeks: they used to CG the ID over the top of hour MeTV animation. Am I missing something?
