Whats Going on with WCTZ 35

I received an e-mail today from someone at WCTZ-LD 35 about the "Test Signal On". The e-mail said, "Unfortunately this station is down due to a problem with our internet connection. It is a radio link to the tower and we have scheduled a climber to go up and fix it. Parts are being shipped and we expect to have it back on the air early this week. I apologize for the inconvenience." Until more news breaks, that's all for now.

Are they going to update the top of the hour slide that interrupts everything that literally reads "TEST-DT 99, City, ST" on 35 and 40 with their actual calls, channel and COL as well?

Yeah, I don't think they will. I think if they were going to do that, they would have already done that part before now. I also think they just want to get the networks back up and running.

Channel 35 and 40 are off of the air.

I have checked and no they are not off the air. Both 35 and 40 are still broadcasting.

They must have cut their power because I was receiving channel 40 day before yesterday and I was getting a 70% signal. I have another antenna and I can't receive a signal on it either. I usually receive both on my other antenna.

I am now receiving channel 40 again. I'm getting a good signal like I did the other day, Around 70%. I still am not getting a signal from channel 35 but it has always been problematic for me.

Yeah, I noticed it was back as well. I also can't receive WCTZ 35 that much.

When you get a chance to email them again please ask them why channel 35's signal is not good? Channel 40 has a much better signal with less power.

I scanned my TV tonight after catching up on the comments. Channel 40-5 is the new home for Classic Reruns TV…for the moment…

Why is 35 off and 40 doing just fine? Is HC2 in the process of merging what's on 35 "and" 40 onto either 35 "or" 40?

I haven't heard anything like that. If they don't have any content to put on WKUW 40, then I would say just get rid of it, but that is just my opinion.
