WRTNs Problems and Its Future

- Posted February 4th, 2023 at 9:09pm
I emailed Rick of WRTN to ask him what are the problems he is having with the station and also what he has in store for the future of WRTN. Below is the response I have just received.

"We have had issues with lightning hitting the servers and internet issues. Trying to get new boxes built up and have some exciting new stuff to try out. Going to a three hour format like Food Network does in the evening where we take the best three hours of a Genre starting at 4pm and repeat it till the next any so a person can tune in any time, watch a good three hours, then go watch something else. Doing that with drama and next will be NERD-TV where we take shows off the internet and create three hours. Shows such as “Ask A Mortician”, Fire Hall training, Cool Grave Yards, AV Club stuff from the 50’s, travel videos from the Orlando and Gatlinburg area and more."

So there you have it. Until more news breaks, that's all for now.

It sucks that WRTN is having problems but hopefully they will be fixed soon.

Instead of having a bunch of blank channels, they should bump 6.4 programming to 6.1 and 6.5 programming to 6.2, then delete everything else until they need the space.

That sounds like a good idea but it probably will not happen.

Daystar has returned to WRTN 6.1. 6.3 still says No Signal. Maybe it will return soon.

This TV has returned to WRTN 6.3 this morning. However it does not have a very good picture quality.
