WJDE 31 is Back on the Air

- Posted January 9th, 2020 at 11:28pm
Judging by the comments on the site. I have to say that WJDE 31 is now on the air on their new channel. Sadly for me, I am too far out to receive their new signal. Thanks to all who have commented and let me know that it is back on the air. Until more news breaks, that's all for now.

My bedroom TV does not get it well but my kitchen TV gets it great but I have to put the antenna on a table that is lower then the signal is at full bars. I'm going to have to move my bedroom antenna to get a better signal.

I can detect signal...but not enough for lock. Will rescan for a few days as conditions are not great Friday morning ( missing 2.1, 4.1 - 4.4, 5.11 - 5.13).

WJDE now has the second strongest signal of the low power stations here in Gallatin. The only one with a stronger signal is channel 40. Now if only I could get channel 35.

I'm in Gallatin too. I get very good signal strength from 40 and so-so to good on 31. I agree with videohead311 that 40's taller tower is the reason I get better reception than from 31.

Did WJDE move to 527Mhz (23) or is it still on 575Mhz(31).... I'm not getting signal on either frequency....I may need to realign my outdoor antenna more toward gallatin...Thanks for any info

I know nothing says they have to be in order, but this is just painful to see. 31-1 Heartland (service ID 8); 31-2 TCN [Country] (service ID 5); 31-3 RNTV (service ID 7); 31-4 Newsnet (service ID 3); 31-5 SonLife [SBN] (service ID 2); 31-6 QVC2 (service ID 4); 31-7 BRM (service ID 6); 31-8 GEB (service ID 1)

I can't get WJDE in south central ky., 1/2 mile north of tennessee line. I get 64 channels most from nashville but don't get this one. I live upon a hill with no hills above me in the horizon but I still can't get this channel. maybe when they go up in power or if i used some help on my antenna but i will stick with what i have for now. i am using a 20 year old aluminum antenna in good shape with nothing broken, up about 17 feet on a pole and tri shield coax.

As far is I know they are at full power now. Their antenna tower is not very tall, only about 480 feet. Compared to channel 40 that has less power but their antenna is 900 feet in the air.

FYI--I live in Dickson. Last night I tried to see if I could get 31.1. I entered the channel setting and was sent to 20.1 somewhere in East Tennessee (WBXX). Later in the evening I was unable to receive 20.1.

I don't know what was happening last night but between 7-8pm central, I had most my channels to go no signal and they stayed that way till later in the night. WKRN, WTVF, WBKO in Bowling Green, WCTE, ALL THE 44's, 50's, WNAB, WZTV, WNPT, and WUXP and all the subs. The only channels I could get with any good signal was WSMV and 31.1. The others were in and out and my tv even removed a few because of no signal.

I did a rescan tonight here in Hendersonville and I can pick up these channels as well.

WJDE has never come into the Brentwood hills as strong and clear as it does now. Wish they would add the new Opry-related channel to their country station lineup. Or take on Buzzr. My TVs recognize there is a signal at 35, just doesn't pick up the content.

I did a rescan and it came in, later that evening it went away & never came back. Living in Murfreesboro...
