WJDE 31 Update
- Posted May 17th, 2019 at 2:26pm
"We had some issues with the signal. We hope to have it back on today."
So, there you have it. By the way, WRTN 6.x, WJDE 31.x, WCTZ 35.x, and WLLC 42.x are the only channels that I currently cannot receive. So, if anything else happens with those channels, please don't hesitate to contact me. I will try my best to find out anything I can with those stations when something like this happens. Until more news breaks, that's all for now.

RetroTV (6-2) is showing a black screen but with audio. (I did get a few intermittent, mildly pixelated images today.) For those of you who watch, you know this is one of the recurring problems. 6-4 is black with a high pitched whine, but I never watch it. I emailed Rick Goetz.

Actually, what you are looking at is WKUW-LD channel 40. The other night, when we had storms, WPGD, WKUW-LD, WCTZ-LD, and WJNK-LD all went off the air. When they all came back on the air, WKUW-LD must have lost all the settings i.e. PSIP information as in virtual channel, the call letters with each channel, etc. This has happened before. The base setting of the equipment probably has 2.3 "AW" and has a "Test Signal On" slide. Now, I don't know if WCTZ-LD channel 35 has the same problem or not. Could someone tell me if they do? I cannot receive that channel right now. If there are any more questions, just let me know. I will try and answer them for you.

I took a trip closer to Nashville today, and I took my portable TV and was able to receive WCTZ channel 35. It turns out, they (WKUW 40 and WCTZ 35) are broadcasting the same thing and the same way. What I mean by that is, is that WCTZ channel 35 is also broadcasting a "Test Signal On" slide on 2.3 with PSIP info of "AW". I will try and see if I can contact them and let them know that it is like this.
