WIIW-LD 14 (RF 14) is Moving

- Posted March 6th, 2023 at 10:17pm
WIIW was to start broadcasting at 15kw on the same tower as WRTN, WNTU, WPGD, WCTZ, WKUW, and WJFB north of Nashville. Before they constructed the channel there, they have now applied with the FCC to move to WSMV's tower on the west side of Nashville. Once a map populates, I will link it. Until more news breaks, that's all for now.

Update 3/7/23 2:30pm: - Here is a link to the new broadcasting range. WIIW-LD New Broadcast Range

2nd Update: - For fun, here is a link to both ranges of the new WIIW and the one of when W14EE will be when they go to their full allotted power. Compare Both Broadcast Ranges (They look like they are kissing.)

Hope this won't impact W14EE. Once it finally goes up in power.

I wondered if that was part of the reason they moved, to be further away from that signal.

I just randomly checked it and it was there. It does look like they're kissing. Good work seeing that.

I do wonder what this will mean for both stations. I'm guessing WIIW won't be an issue for me because of the mountians between me and Nashville. Where Algood/Cookeville is almost LOS to me. WCTE is.

The programming on WIIW is going to be NewsNET, whose parent company owns WIIW. NewsNET is already available on Roku.

Did WIIW-LD 14 come on the air today? I'm getting 3 channels on channel 14. 14.1 is NewsNet, 14.2 is a sports channel SNHtv (Sports News Highlights) and 14.3 is a shopping channel ShopHQ. I have not seen a channel ID yet. I think that SNHtv is owned by NewsNet.

I searched up SNHtv and Bridge News owns it and Newsnet.

No. It was on yesterday. That’s when I first noticed it.
