WFET-LD and WNPX News

- Posted August 18th, 2022 at 1:33am
Gray TV, the new owner of WFET-LD channel 29 Lewisburg (but really in Columbia), has filed to not only move 29 but also give it more power. WFET was licensed to broadcast from Reservoir Hill in Columbia at only 5.2kw. Now, they have are going to move it to an area between Columbia and I-65, and they are upping the power to 15kw. Right now, they can't do anything about it until the FCC grants that application which will be a while.

Now, a while back, WNPX had added HSN back on 28.8. Well, now they have added QVC back as well on 28.9. I don't know when this took place. I just now happen to see it. Well, until more news breaks, that's all for now.

I figured QVC would be added back to channel 28 after HSN was added to it. I figured WFET would be used as a translator soon somewhere in the southern portion of TN.

I keep hoping WNPX would increase their power, or move their tower (For LAFF). That ain't happening. They want that Bowling Green KY market. As it is I watch when I can from Huntsville WAFF.

In my area WNPX is strong but it would be good to have it stronger.

With the addition of QVC on 28.9, they have dropped Court TV to SD 480i. It had been HD 720p until recently. Of course, Court TV can be found in HD on various FAST platforms including Roku now.

Yeah I just noticed that when I tuned to Court TV today just to see if it was 480i.
