I didn't know they were rebranding Newsy as Scripps News. Good to hear about it. Thanks for the update.

Maybe once WBKO increases their power you can get it again and you may get WNKY in a while.

I live in Bugtussle just about 14 miles north of Lafayette in Kentucky about 1/2 mile from Tennessee line. I get 68 channels and get WNKY better than WBKO on my small bedroom antenna outside at 20ft, I get WBKO better than WNKY in the living room using a 20ft up larger RCA antenna that is about medium in size compared to most outside antenna's with long elements. I have found where I live a smaller outside antenna works just as good as a large one about 80% of the time but they're times when the larger living room antenna pulls in channels weak that the small bedroom has no signal.

Newsy has been listed as coming soon for WNKY 40.5 for years. I think this is misinformation/confusion with WKUW-LD 40.5 (RF 28) broadcast from Nashville which at one point I believe was Newsy before Scripps bought Ion (WNPX). I think the confusion stems from WKUW-LD originally being licensed to Bowling Green before changing COL to White House,TN. It somehow has even made its way into the Titan TV database and shows up on the WNKY website under program listings. However, WNKY has never carried Newsy and I suspect it will not.

WBGS-LD 34.1 appears to now be simulcasting WTNX-LD Nashville and is identifying as Telemundo Tennessee. I actually saw a promo on WBKO-ABC for an upcoming show on Telemundo and it promoted channel “WTNX 34.1” rather than WBGS 34.1. In addition, there is now a new sub channel 34.3. It’s a blank screen at the moment, but the PSIP shows WBGSLD3 and the guide data indicates Heroes and Icons programming. Not sure if this is the plan because it shows the same guide data on 34.2 which is a simulcast of WBKO-ABC. Also, WBGS-LD1 still shows guide data for WBKO-ABC from when the channel was a translator for WBKO.

I seen the third subchannel last night when my antenna pulled in WBGS-LD but I couldn't pull it in because it was too weak.

Heroes and Icons (H&I) is now on-air at WBGS-LD 34.3 as of yesterday.

Marquee Broadcasting, owners of WNKY (40/RF24) in Bowling Green and low power WNSH-LD in Nashville, has acquired WDNZ-LD (11) from Daily News Broadcasting. Hopefully they can improve the consistency with the programming on WDNZ. It's a black screen more often than it has programming. It's the MyTV and Antenna TV affiliate for the market. In addition, they own a CP for low-power WNKY-LD (16). The CP expires in June 2023 so they should be bringing it to air soon. It will be interesting to see what they put on the air. They have more diginet options in Bowling Green than they did with WNSH-LD.

Nice. Hopefully they will increase the power on WDNZ-LD so I can get their channels from Bowling Green.

They have a CP to change from Ch11 to Ch8 due to recurring STL issues which causes the black screen due to line of site issues they experience. I have to wonder if that plan has changed. The CP has been out there a while and actually reduces the power/coverage by moving the transmitter site to downtown BG (at WDNS-FM's STL tower behind the building). If you read the sales agreement on the FCC site, Marquee is going to continue to pay Daily News Broadcasting to use their existing tower which is shared with WDNS-FM in rural eastern Warren County. Their signal was highly directional to protect WHAS in Louisville to the north and a null to the south that prevents coverage even as nearby as Scottsville, KY. I believe this is to protect WSMV (RF10). It would be great if they could figure out a way to increase their coverage.

I wouldn't mind having a few extra channels since some of the power is going towards me. I will not receive them if they move to Bowling Green as the application to move and go to RF channel 8. Hopefully I can receive them in the future but it probably will not happen.
