Power is Restored

- Posted February 7th, 2026 at 8:50am
Thankfully, power has been pretty much restored to nearly every one! That includes the tower that lost power. I don't know if my setup has changed any or not, because I have noticed some differences before and after the storm. One is that I can't receive WRTN now. I have also noticed that WTNX (rf 15) has not been solid since they came back on. So, I can't reliably compare my experience with others. Until more news breaks, that's all for now.

I still can't get RTN either. I think it's the station.

WRTN is broadcasting. It just doesn't have anything on it. I get a good signal strength on it but a black screen or program not available depending on the tv I am using. When it first started broadcasting last Friday or Saturday it was normal programing but after a few hours on the air it went to its present blank screen.

WRTN now has programing on it and is watchable.

WSMV's ATSC 3.0 signal has been taking 1-3 minutes to tune since the ice storm/power outage. I have sent emails to WSMV's engineer and Sinclair's engineer responsible for the Nashville market ATSC 3.0 "lighthouses" about the issue today.
