News about WDHC 6 Dickson

- Posted August 31st, 2021 at 3:52pm
If you are in or around the Dickson area and have been wondering why you haven't seen WDHC 6 on the air yet, it is because they haven't had their permanent equipment delivered yet that they were going to use to broadcast their signal. They have now applied for a lower power temporary application. In it, they have explained why. The explanation says in part: "the licensee of WDHC requests special temporary authorization using the following facilities until such time as the required equipment will be delivered to the tower site for which the licensee holds a construction permit." So, now you know. Until they can broadcast from the northern part of Dickson County at 3,000 watts, they have applied to broadcast from their studio tower in Dickson at just 505 watts. The link to their temporary broadcast area is below. Now, I believe once they have the equipment, they will construct their permanent signal and start broadcasting. Until more news breaks, that's all for now.

I live in Dickson. This morning when I did a channel scan for the changes I now have a black screen at 6.1 & 6.2. I will post an update when the station goes live. I live about 1-2 miles from the current tower that will carry the signal.
