New Diginet Network Coming

- Posted April 24th, 2019 at 3:39pm
I just saw this article, and since it has ties to Nashville, I thought I would post about it even though right now, at this time, I have no idea which TV station will pick it up, but Gray Television Group will partner with the Grand Ole Opry to begin a broadcast diginet/streaming platform. The new channel will consist of “artist-driven country lifestyle programming.” It will be shown in all of Gray's TV markets, including WBKO in Bowling Green, KY. When and where the new channel will pop up in Nashville, I will post it here as soon as I find out.

Yes, they did apply for more power. To be exact, they are right now at 22kw, and they have applied for an upgrade to 46.5kw and a little boost in height as well (don't know exactly how much on that), but it has yet to be granted by the FCC. Even if it gets granted, they probably won't raise the power until after all this repacking is done, which will probably be sometime in late summer or fall of next year.
