Just a Heads Up - WNPX

- Posted May 20th, 2020 at 8:13pm
I just thought I might suggest to the people that live near Clarksville and Hopkinsville and the area NW of there. If you have been having trouble receiving WNPX since they moved to near Cross Plains in Robertson County, it might be because of WPSD 6 Paducah, KY. You might be just close enough to Paducah that it might be interfering with WNPX, because they are on the same channel. The reason I bring this up now is because WPSD 6 is changing channels tomorrow morning (05/21) at 10am. If your reception of WNPX improves after that time, then WPSD had some influence on your reception of WNPX. Sorry for the long explanation, I just wanted to see if anyone in that area had any change in reception of WNPX. If you do, could you leave a comment below and let me know. I was just interested to see if there was any change.

P.S. WPSD is changing from channel 32 to channel 19.

I have the same problem with channel 40 out of Bowling Green KY and 40 out of White House TN but it doesn't seem to interfere with each other, other then sometime my info will be mixed up.

Ch. 40 (RF24) Bowling Green, KY, and Ch 40 (RF28) White House, TN, shouldn't cause interference because they are broadcast on different RF signals. The issue mostly is with the virtual mapping of the overlapping signals. Some TV's have issues displaying properly in the guide because it confuses the stations. My Samsung TV has no issues displaying two each 40-1, -2, -3. However, my Roku TV, forces the White House Channel 40's to 28-7, 28-8, and 28-9 (because WNPX 28-1 thru -6) and the remaining subchannels at 40-4, -5, and -6.

I think that maybe myvols2002 is saying the tv tuner is getting them mixed up; not exactly the same technical issue but the same kind of result on his/her end.
