Ion *Quietly* Made a Deal with GetTV

- Posted December 6th, 2024 at 1:36am
Without warning, and out of the blue, Ion has made a deal to carry the GetTV network on all of their stations. Over on WNPX, they have made the decision to replace JewelryTV w/ GetTV on 28.7. What they have replaced on other Ion stations in other parts of the country, I have no idea if they were all JewelryTV channels or not. I didn't even know there were going to be any more changes to the Ion lineup. GetTV is currently still available on WSMV 4.5. Well, until more news breaks, that's all for now.

The ION transponder on C-band replaced Jewelry TV with Get TV. So no more JTV on their channel lineup anymore on their owned and operated stations.

I wonder if WNPX-DT is trying to divest some of it's channels to higher power stations. This is the second channel to be transmitted on another station. I also need to see about getting a C-Band Dish again. By my co-house-owner mother would kill me. Since I already have 4 OTA antennas.

Anything that Ion O&O stations have on them it will have on there too. Just exactly like WNPX with the exception of some channels being HD and SD. For instance Grit, Ion, and Bounce are in HD and SD. Only exception to that is Scripps News now since the OTA channel is gone it is Grit 2 SD and only has an HD channel for streaming my guess. Get TV looks a little better on there compared to WNPX but I'm not complaining. I might be able to help you locate a C-band dish. Email me if you have the opportunity to. I don't mind helping out.
