Four New Channels Coming to the Cookeville Area

- Posted June 21st, 2021 at 2:48pm
I meant to post this the other day, but I wanted to wait to see if their applications were granted, and they were today. There will be four new channels coming to the airwaves in the Cookeville/Algood area. They are channels 14, 15, 29, and 35. They were just granted construction permits from the FCC as of today. What they will have, I haven't got the foggiest. Thanks to Rabbitears.info, I am posting links to their broadcasting maps below. I will post more once I see what comes of these channels or when I have more information. Also, there are two more channels (9 and 14) that are coming as well, but even though they are listed as Spring Hill, they will be broadcasting from just East of Jackson, TN. I'm posting links to those channels as well. Until more news breaks, that's all for now.

Cookeville/Algood:
W29FR-D
W35DZ-D
W15ER-D
W14EE-D

Jackson/"Spring Hill":
W09DM-D
W14EJ-D

God I hope I can get them in McMinnville. If they are translators for the major networks anyway. I am LOS for WCTE. But these are VERY LP. Time will tell. If I aim my antenna I might get them. But I wish the power level was better to cover down to my area too.

I've since done some homework on what these channels might be. The owner Landover 2 LLC has been trying to make a 5G/4G Cellular / Demographic Specific network for companies. https://www.tvtechnology.com/news/landover-continues-applying-for-lptv-licenses-for-lte-network These here were RE-filings for the same area from 2013. I am not sure if they will be what we consider TV, or for businesses. Who knows.
