DefyTV and TrueReal on WNPX 28

- Posted June 19th, 2021 at 1:24am
Per a post on the Nashville thread on the AVSForum website, DefyTV and TrueReal, two new networks from E.W. Scripps, are going to be coming on WNPX 28.5 and 28.6 respectively replacing QVC and HSN. They will be coming on the air in two weeks on July 1st. They also have launched their websites. I will post links to them below. I will be posting some more news later. Until then, that's all for now.

Both 28.5 and 28.6 are on the air with a loop showing the stations are coming July 1.

Thank you for letting me know. I was just going to wait until tomorrow night to see if they maybe switch at midnight.

Seems like they could've put the programming from both channels onto one and repeat themselves less often.

Dreck already available on Pluto and a dozen similar streamers. I'll never watch any of it. I'm sure it will be digitally compressed to the max horribly like QVC and HSC are.

I suppose it was inevitable that they started reruns of reality shows. I would love a channel that showed nothing but 1960’s sitcoms all day. And another channel with 1960’s and 70’s detective shows all day long; like Mannix, Barnaby Jones, Cannon, Hawaii Five-O, etc. I know some of these shows are on Me-Tv at night, but would love them during the day when most people are awake.

Has there been an update on METV Plus coming to Nashville? I understand it runs the original Hawaii Five-O two hours in prime time every night.

No, I haven't heard anything lately about MeTV Plus. When WJFB 44's new signal came on the air, I asked him at the company about that. He said, "at this time, there were no plans of adding MeTV Plus to 44". When I hear something, I will post it.

MeTV+ has three hours weeknights of Hawaii 5-0. If you can borrow a VPN long enough to sign up for Locast and choose the Chicago DMA, you can then use Stremium to watch it by adding Locast as the provider, (there is now an official Stremium Roku app now). It will remember the market (Chicago) and not require the VPN anymore to watch Locast. It's a bug, not a feature. MeTV+ is on the old Channel for Bounce that still says Bounce in the guide but with the MeTV+ programming. Chicago is where MeTV and AntennaTV are based. BTW, AntennaTV has a nice clean WGN owned channel there without the awful compression on 17.3 here.

WKUW (40) has added new channels and removed the duplicates of WTCZ (35). 40.1 and 40.4 appear to be shopping channels but I have not seen enough to be sure. 40.2 is Timeless TV and 40.3 is a network named MMN. It is showing :Road To Bali" now. There are only 4 subchannels now.
