For a brief moment Wednesday after a new scan we got 40.1 thru 40.7 here in Fairview but only a carrier signal, no broadcasts. Before we always had 44.1-44.7. Never saw 40.1-40.7 here before.

Channel 40 WKUW must be off of the air? I have two antennas and neither will pick up channel 40s signal.

They have lowered the power of WKUW 40 since last week. I, myself, can barely receive it ever since last week. Before, I had it solid with no problems. Also, they lowered the power of WPGD 50 as well, because 40 and 50 are on the same tower as the future WJFB 44.

It's weird because I'm still getting channel 35 but not great. I never get a great signal from channel 35 anyway.

MeTV is off on Comcast which might be expected with the new transmitter location, but instead of the usual " lost video " notice it comes on with a notice suggesting that you may have to upgrade your subscription to keep receiving the service. Scanning channels in both the old and new locations shows nothing for 44 and can't hit 40 either today so I will just have to miss Wagon Train 😩

Just did a scan. 40.1-5 gone. 44.1-5 being received in Dickson. Question: Any word on 44.6 44.7?

I am still able to receive 40.x here in Gallatin with no issues at 90 percent signal strength. I know that's not going to last much longer. I will be glad when they transition 44.x over to the new antenna/transmitter and the saga will be over and done with. UPDATE: I did a channel re-scan for fun at 12:15 am on Friday and 40.x disappeared, but 44.x appeared. I checked the signal diagnostics on the TV I performed the re-scan on and the physical channel was 28, the physical channel for WKUW 40.x. So I assume they are using a unused virtual channel for signal testing at the new transmitter/antenna site, while reassigning the virtual channel on WKUW 40.x to 44.x until the signal at the new site goes live.

I was just checking this. Given I can't get WPGD however (On the same tower as WJFB new transmitter), I don't hold out much hope beyond it being lower on the RF band. Lets hope I can though. :)

I still have the 40s in one part of my house but never have had them in my living room so if the 44s don’t come back I guess I’ll be watching my toons, Perry Mason. & The Closer on my smaller set. I just scanned again & nothing!
