A Lot of Little Tidbit News

- Posted August 1st, 2022 at 7:26pm
There are a lot of little bits of news that I have accidentally left out. So, here goes. Thanks to everyone who has contributed to letting me know some of this news.

First, If you haven't already known, WJFB's new channel 44.12 has started airing paid programming. With the Call letters EMLW, in the EPG, meaning Enhanced Marketing Leads by Weigel, I have to say that this is the actual programming that will be on this channel.

Second, WTNX-LD (formerly W15ER-D) has been off the air since Friday, July 22nd. It is owned by Gray TV, WSMV's new owner. Prior to July 22nd, it has been simulcasting, or repeating, WSMV's main and subchannels. Since it has went off the air and the call letters have changed effective today, they are probably getting it ready to bring it back on the air with the Telemundo network. Because per this article, Gray TV has been buying low power TV stations across the country to start airing Telemundo in several markets. This also goes for the Bowling Green, KY market as well.

And lastly, WNPX-LD channel 20 (rf 24) has been broadcasting from a tower near Nolensville in Williamson County. They must have not been broadcasting at 12kw because after being off the air for awhile, they came back on the air today at around noon with a lot more power. So, I have to say that they are now broadcasting at 12kw. I have seen some people being able to receive the channel now where they couldn't before. I have heard that they are only carrying three channels with two channels showing the Daystar religious network and one channel showing scenery with scriptures on the screen. And with that said, I believe I am done with all the news today. So, until more news breaks, that's all for now. I think.

I hope the W14EE carries WSMV 4.1 channel as well. Even if only in SD.

Xmguy why would gray television operate w14ee without putting their channels on it? Also if they did increase the power you and I would get w14ee.

I was watching MEtv+ at 9:45 PM tonight (Sunday) and it went off the air. It seems that I’ve lost everything from 35-1 through 44-7. Any idea why? I put the comment here because I can’t figure out how to start a new item. Thanks, Keith P

I'm so sorry. Please disregard my previous comment. Yes, you were right. They were off the air. The channels that were off the air were 6, 34 (ATSC 3.0), 35, 44, and 50. I guess they experienced a power outage or had to cut power to do some maintenance. They were off the air from like you said 9:45pm and came back on the air at about 10:15pm. Sorry about that.

Thank you very much for the response! I appreciate it. You are correct, all channels are back in their place this morning. I did get a few ''new channels" like 49.1 (and other 49.X channels) at the same time and now they are gone. Very mysterious. I'm glad I'm back to where I started. At 9:45 PM I was watching a cartoon on MEtv+ (Yes, I'm 72 years old...don't judge). Glad to be back to normal. Thanks again! Keith p

WJDE never went off the air. It was broadcasting all weekend. However, there was nothing but no service showing on any of their channels. They must have had a problem that they fixed today.
