ATSC 3.0 News - WZTV and WUXP

- Posted June 2nd, 2020 at 9:39pm
I just found out that WUXP MyTV 30 will become a 3.0 station, and that all three of WUXP's 1.0 stations will be broadcasting on WZTV. So, with this news that WUXP is going 3.0, WZTV staying 1.0 with all of WUXP's channels, and WNAB 58.2-58.4 is going to be on WTVF making it appear that WNAB will be 3.0 as well, I am confident of saying that WNAB 58.1 1.0 will be on WKRN. I am not 100% sure about that, but that might be what will happen with WNAB 58.1. I am going to be working on a page showing all the changes that are coming up. I am going to take this time to ask if any of you find this information confusing or helpful because all of you are really just going to rescan on that day, and you might not see anything different. I just thought you might want to know what is going on behind the scenes. Until more news breaks, that's all for now.

From looking at your information, WKRN, WSMV, WZTV, and WTVF are not going to be ATSC 3.0 stations for a while. WKRN and WSMV do not have ATSC 3.0 ready transmitters, so they will have to upgrade in the future. Both of WTVF's new transmitters are ATSC 3.0 ready, so is WZTV. It's not a big deal right now because there are only a handful of ATSC 3.0 compatible TVs on the market right now, and those are the high end ones, and reasonable cost converter boxes are not even available yet.

You misread that. WVTF an WZTV are going to be ATSC 3.0 stations they will be broadcasting from WUXP. Nashville is going to have four ATSC 3.0 stations later this month WTVF, WZTV, WUXP and WNAB
